PROJECT
FOCUS
HR ACCOMPANIMENT SOLUTION
Mpower
and Mr. MacKenzie has served as our HR consultant for our dental
practice since May 2002. Since that time we have doubled the size
of our existing location and opened another dental office in the
same region in March 2004. During Allan MacKenzie's engagement with
our firm, we have grown from a staff of 3 to 29 employees.
Allan
has provided guidance and hands-on assistance in the area of human
resources, both from a strategic and tactical perspective within
our rapidly growing dental group. We have engaged his services in
leading and developing the following HR components;
- Facilitating
our organizational purpose, core values, strategic intent and
key strategic metrics.
- Facilitating
the development of a partnership agreement between the two managing
partners.
- Facilitating
on-going bi-monthly management meetings between the partners and
various senior staff members.
- Collaboratively
developing both a clinic-wide and company-wide organizational
strategy.
- Collaboratively
developing written job specification profiles for 10 different
job categories which outlined in detail - position results, education/training
requirements, level of experience, skill competencies, effort
factors, working conditions, and responsibilities.
- Collaboratively
developing written job descriptions for 10 different job categories
which outlined in detail - job tasks and the performance standards.
- Collaboratively
developing written performance appraisal process and forms for
10 different job categories to align with the standards stated
in the accompanying job descriptions.
- Development
of a company-wide team-member engagement reference manual which
outlines in detail the action steps for recruitment, hiring, performance
management and employee departure processes.
- Assistance
throughout our growth with ongoing employee recruitment and selection.
From the creation of recruitment ads, screening resumes, conducting
telephone interviews, occasional in-person interviews, reference
checking and the development of employment offer letters and confidentially
agreements.
- Provided
executive search services for the hiring of a Director of Operations
in December 2004.
- Facilitates
annual strategic and operational planning sessions.
- Currently
working on the development of an employee handbook outlined the
company's policies and procedures.
- Currently
working on implementing a company-wide heath and safety program
and assisting with the initial facilitation of JH&SC meeting
process.
