Guelph
is an attractive community that is well known for its rich architectural
heritage, vibrant cultural life and picturesque natural setting
at the junction of the Speed and Eramosa Rivers. Its century-old
limestone buildings and downtown avenues are set in natural surroundings
of beautiful parks and trails, rivers and rolling hills, all of
it a splendid mix of the old and the new.
One
of the most remarkable sides of Guelph is its extensive park system
and outdoor recreation facilities. According to the city, it provides
and maintains over 100 parks throughout the city, and maintains
more than 528 hectares (1300 acres) of open space.

But,
its abundance of parks and trees isn't the only reason the city
has no trouble seeing green. The 330-hectare University of Guelph,
named as one of Ontario's "elite six", has been internationally
recognized for its general academic excellence and for its leadership
in the field of agricultural economics and business. |
The
City of Guelph is located in the Canada's Technology Triangle that
consists of three surrounding cities: Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge
that are an hour drive northwest of Toronto, Canada.

"Community
comes from the word communion, to share a common task together.
And it's in the sharing of that task that people do bigger things
than they knew were capable of. Then there's really something to
celebrate."
